Amber King
Preschool Director
Amber is the preschool director and lead teacher in the 3 day class. She received her bachelors degree in Elementary Education from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA in 2008. She went on to complete her Masters in Education there as well. She has six years experience teaching first and third grades before joining our preschool in 2017. She is married to Martin King and they have one daughter named Lily. They moved to Pullman in 2015 for Martin to teach music education and horn at WSU. Each day at preschool Amber loves to show the love of Jesus, read great books, learn and be silly with her students. She thinks being a preschool teacher is the best!
Meg Conley
Lead Teacher
Meg is the lead teacher for the 5 day and Kinder Prep class. She joined Concordia Preschool in 2025. Meg is a WSU alumni- Go Cougs! - and has her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Early Childhood Education, Reading, and English Language Learning. She has 10 years experience teaching in Pullman public schools, most recently second grade. Concordia is near and dear to her and her family's heart, as her son did two years of the 5 day program and loved it! She is married to Luke, who is a biology teacher at PHS, and has a son, Wayne. Meg is passionate about learning through play, the joy of reading, and showing the love of Jesus in her classroom!
Jessica Heiden
Lead Teacher
Jessica Heiden is the lead teacher for our 2 day class. Jessica has her bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Literacy from Lewis and Clark State College. She has four years experience teaching kindergarten, first grade and early childhood. Jessica is married to Zach Heiden, a Chemistry professor at WSU and they have two boys, Isaac and Emmett. Jessica joined our staff in 2021 after spending time raising her boys. Jessica loves teaching preschoolers about Jesus, and growing together through play!
Jodie Stahlecker
Assistant Teacher
Jodie is the Assistant Teacher for our 5 day class and an Administrative Assistant in our church office. She joined our preschool team in January 2016. She is kind, gentle and encouraging to each preschooler in her care. Jodie has over ten years experience working in early childhood settings. She loves to help preschoolers enjoy a variety of art projects, anything crafty and to love the outdoors.
Madelyn Krenz
Preschool Aide
Madelyn is a teacher's aide in our 5 day and 3 day class and is a homeschooled senior in high school. She joined CLP in 2025. She moved to Moscow in 2016 when her dad took a call to Augustana Lutheran. She has loved babysitting over the past couple of years and is looking forward to pursuing a degree in early childhood education. Madelyn is excited to help preschoolers grow in development and the love of Christ!
Kaitlyn Jacquez
Assistant Teacher
Kaitlyn joined CLP in 2025 as an assistant teacher for the three-day class. She graduated from Washington State University with her bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology. She is married to Jacob Jacquez who attends WSU for environmental science. She loves creativity, nature, and Jesus and is so excited to teach children about the love of Jesus and emphasizing the importance of play in the classroom.
Katie Butler
Assistant Teacher
Katie is the assistant teacher for our 2 day class and joined Concordia preschool in 2025 and is also a graduate student in Speech Language Pathology with experience volunteering in younger elementary grades, as well as working in early childhood care in her previous work as a dental assistant. She finds great joy in helping little ones learn about the world and help them grow and gain confidence. She is so thankful to be part of Concordia's preschool!
